What is a CSA all about?
A CSA is an arrangement where individuals buy into the farm at the start of the growing season and in exchange receive
a share of the farm's produce. Each week from June through October shareholders take home a bounty of freshly picked
produce ranging from gourmet green beans and heirloom tomatoes to our delicious peas, squash and sweet red strawberries. The
farm raises more than 110 varieties of fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs. A large family share is for a family
of 3 to 5 members and is $475 for 22 weeks. We also offer a biweekly (large) share for 11 weeks at $300. In
2008, we added a small family share for a family of 2 adults and is $300 for 22 weeks. CSA is a partnership between the grower and the consumer. CSA
members make a commitment to support the farm throughout the growing season by paying in advance for a portion of the farmer’s
produce. This CSA arrangement guarantees farmers a market for the season’s produce, provides a more secure income and
enables them to maintain their farming way of life.

Our Community
Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a successful part of our farm business and we are happy to offer it each year
to our customers.
There are many
benefits to our CSA program. You will be offered the freshest fruits and vegetables and provided the highest quality
produce. The fruits and vegetables are selected for flavor, picked at peak perfection, washed and cooled, and handled with
care. You have the benefit of knowing where your food is grown, who is growing it, and that you and your family will be eating
healthier meals.
Check out our Harvest page to see, "What
is in your CSA share, today!"

CSA members receive a share of the farm’s produce. - A large family share is designed to provide weekly or bi-weekly fruit and vegetables for a family of 3-5 members.
Each share contains 9 to 12 varieties of fruits and vegetables.
- A small family share is designed to provide weekly fruit and vegetables for a family of 2 adult members.
Each share contains 6 to 8 varieties of fruits and vegetables.
As crops rotate throughout the season, weekly shares vary in items and types
of produce, reflecting our local growing season and weather conditions. CSA members receive the produce at prices that
are slightly less than the farmers market. Our members have priority on selection and availability over our farmers' markets
and roadside stands. Refer to the harvest calendar that includes estimated amounts and in which season they are available.
Testimonials "Thanks for the great CSA Program! We've enjoyed everything that we've got
and our grandchildren love coming to the farm with us on pick-up day. They eat their "share" on the way home and
get to choose what they would like to take home with them. Best wishes for great weather and a successful growing season!"
Marsha, Valencia "We have been
extremely pleased with the fruits and vegetables that we have been getting as part of the 2008 CSA Program. The selection
and quality has been great and we've even been able to get our kids to start enjoying them." Gilbert and Mary, Swissvale "Thank you so much for the fabulous
produce we have been getting! This is our first year of participation and I couldn't be more pleased." Rich and Beth,
South Park "My husband
and I love having an abundance of fresh vegetables and berries and we are healthier already! I had my own garden in the past,
but I decided to give it up and go with your CSA Program, which was one of the best decisions I have ever made."
Roland and Marie, Glenshaw "Thank
you so much for taking such great care of your customers. I have been so thrilled with all of the things that you put
in our share. I am having a fantastic time trying new recipes. We were thinking of increasing our share for next year. Your
hard work is appreciated." Jonnie, Fox Chapel
